Darren's Australia Page!

During 1997 I had the opportunity to travel through Australia from early May to late September. This is a trip I had wanted to do for several years and finally everything was in place to accomplish it. I'd recommend an extensive trip like this it to anyone. With so much time you will not feel rushed. Only relaxed.

For Christmas 2005 I returned to Australia for a two and a half week trip that involved Sydney, Tazmania, and Western Australia. For now that requires the link below the map, as I have not integrated the trips into one coherent viewing system. That is a future project.

During my first trip I took over 1000 pictures using two 35mm SLRs in a span of nearly four months. This resulted in about 32 rolls of film being used. The second trip involved using only a Sony DSP-P200 digital camera and a few memory cards. The result was 795 photos and a few videos. Don't worry. I've only posted the better ones.

I've placed some travel tips on a page for others thinking of traveling to Australia. Hope these tips help you out.

Enjoy!
